Experienced team

We recruit and retain compassionate, caring, and skilled early childhood education professionals. Our qualified professionals have extensive experience in child development, with over 50% of teachers holding a bachelor’s or higher degree and 100% of teaching assistants having a Child Development Associate credential. Each year, NCCHS provides many hours of professional development for our team to deepen their skills in the classroom and beyond, including CPR and First Aid, Conscious Discipline, and more.

Our families believe in our program, and we are proud to employ current or former parents, approximately 30% of our team.

Policy Council

The Policy Council is the parent governing body of the organization. The Policy Council works closely with the Board of Directors and the Executive Director to establish policies and practices related to the program.

Current parents at each center elect Policy Council members through the Center Parent Committee for a one-year term with a three-year limit. The Policy Council may select community representatives, e.g., non-current parent members, to serve on the council. New members receive an extensive orientation prior to beginning their service.

Thank you to Policy Council members for their time and service to the program.
